African Cup; Senegal wins over Uganda 1-0 to set up meeting with Benin

In the knockout stage match of the African Cup played between Senegal and Uganda, Sadio Mane was able to lead Senegal’s 1-0 win over their opponents to drive them into the quarterfinals of the tournament.

Mane scored the only goal of the night in the early minutes of the first half to lead his team’s win over Uganda in the round of 16 matches held at the Cairo International Stadium. Forward of Liverpool also had a penalty during the 2nd half but it did not cost Senegal that much.

Previously Mane had scored 3 goals in the three matches of the African Cup held in Egypt where he also missed two penalties. With his impressive game, he is starting to become a threat to his Liverpool mate Mohammad Salah, who is currently the star of the hosting team.
