Amanda Serrano defeats her tough opponent Heather Hardy in the Manhattan fight

In the electrifying fight between Amanda Serrano and Heather Hardy held in New York ended with a win for Serrano after 10 rounds.

The fight was for the WBO’s featherweight world title and was delivered at the venue of Madison Square Garden for a frenzied crowd.

Serrano was able to become the first fight in modern boxing to have defeated Hardy and strip off her WBO belt on scores of 98-91, 98-91, and 98-92. With this win, she now has the shot for a fight against Katie Taylor, the Irish boxing star.

The star from Puerto Rico, Serrano, came to the ring behind her southpaw stance and started firing shots immediately on the forint foot as she stunned her opponent with a series of combinations. In just a few short minutes, Hardy was bloodied and left staggering on her feet.

Still, hardy was able to survive the brutal opening round and got a minute rest before taking another round of beating.

Hardy ah her back on the wall and by that point she was able to get some foothold to counter and put in her own shots to match her younger opponent making it difficult for Serrano land her punches.

The momentum of the fight was swaying in favor of hardy once more as she showed her lighting fast footwork and her skills to show why she has only been defeated once during her 38 fight career.

6th saw hardy landing some flashing rights while avoiding Serrano’s swift jabs but the Puerto Rican star was able to fire back in the 7th and pummeled Hardy with both her fists.

Serrano, the seven-eight champion of the world was the one who showed the amazing stamina for controlling the later periods of the fight as the final bell was rung to sound her victory.
