Cavaliers hold off Wizards’ late comeback to win by 116-113

Larry Nance Jr. was not sure, if the clock would ever run out on the Tuesday night.

It was not the Cavs forward who had same thoughts. Cavs managed to squander off their 24 points lead against the Washington Wizards’ late comeback in the fourth quarter. However, they still managed to hold them off for a win by 116-113.

Nance talking about this close win said, “I swear, we were at like 32 seconds for three minutes.”

Cavilers were mostly on their way for an easy victory on Tuesday night. Jordan Clarkson led the team with his 28 points while Cedi Osman scored 26 points. Cavs also managed to match their season high of 15 3-pointers in this game as well and led for 105-80 for the remaining 6:58 minutes.

Other players from Cavs’ side like Ante Zizic scored 12 points and 12 rebounds while Nance added 13 points with 11 rebounds.

Cavilers were coming off a previous win on Sunday when the defeated the Chicago Bulls. This is for the second time this season that Cavs have managed to win two games in a row. Prior to this Cavs, who are 11-41 on the season, had lost 18 of their last 19 games before beating the Bulls.

As for Washington Wizards, they were led by Bradley Beal who scored 31 points. This was Wizards’ second defeat against the Cleveland Cavaliers this season. Last time, Cavs defeated them back on December 8th in a game which was led by Cavs for 29 points.

Up next, Cleveland Cavilers will host a game against the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday while Washington Wizards will host a game against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday.
