Celtics push past Pacers by 104-96 to gain 3-0 series lead

Boston Celtics are on the same plan as the past 2 games. After 3 games and winning all of them, the plan seems to be working quite well.

With another one of the 2nd half dominant defense on Friday night, Celtics managed to win over the Indiana Pacers by 104-96 and take the 3-0 lead in the first round playoff series.

Kyrie Irving, the All-Star guard of the Celtics said, “We have come a long way. We are giving each other enough confidence and are doing little things to ensure our wins. When you have that type of comradery between teammates, it is a lot easier to win. Now with the stakes being higher than they ever were in the season, we are going to show who we truly want to be.”

Jaylen Brown of Celtics, who scored 23 points, said, “In game 4 we expect that Pacers will take the game to another level. We are going to come out pumping and not taking the foot off the gas. We now need to come out and play great basketball and try our hardest to close this thing out.”

Brown also had 7 rebounds on the night while Jayson Tatum scored 18 points with 7 rebounds while Irving proved to be productive with his 19 points along with 5 rebounds and 10 assists.

As for Indiana pacer, for whom this had been a nightmare of an opening playoff series, they were led by Tyreke Evans who scored his playoff career high of 19 points, 12 of which were scored in the 2nd quarter.

As for Al Horford of Celtics, he finished for the team with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Boston Celtics scored 41 points in the first quarter which is the most that pacers have ever allowed a team in the playoff history. The previous mark was set by Lakers when they gave away 38 points in the NBA finals of 2000.
