Chris Wondolowski of San Jose Earthquakes scores his 149th and 150th MLS goals in the same game

The San Jose Earthquakes were led by Chris Wondolowski on Sunday’s game against Toronto FC which they were able to win by 2-1. The game was a special one for Wondolowski as he scored his 149th and 150th MLS goal in this same game.

Both of these goals were scored by the MLS Career goals leader from a close range.

Wondolowski after getting a yard separation was redirected a cross from Cristian Espinoza which he turned into a goal during the 37th minute to tie the score at 1-1. His go-ahead goal was scored in the 81st minute of the game as Espinoza again found Wondolowski in the space.

The striker of San Jose has now scored 6 goals in his last 2 games. Last weekend, he was also the one to score all the 4 goals for the team’s 4-1 victory over Chicago. It was the game when he surpassed the MLS league goal record set by Landon Donovan for 145 goals. At that time he upped the record by 148 goals.

As for Toronto FC, who are currently 5-6-2 on the season, their only goal was scored by Richie Laryea during the 28th minute.

As for San Jose Earthquakes, they are currently 5-6-2 on the season and for the first time in the season have they won 6 games on road.
