CONCACAF teams are on the last set for the World Cup qualifiers

Mexico, along with the US and the other nations among the top 6 teams of the CONCACAF are the only one remaining to compete in the final round for the qualifiers of the World Cup to determine the final 3 teams.

Mexico earlier defeated America in the CONCACAF Gold Cup final and was ranked to be 12th in the World Cup qualifiers. Following them is the team US with 22nd place, Cost Rica with its 44th place, Jamaica with its 522nd place, Honduras with its 67th place and El Salvador with its 68th place.

For the North and Central American region, representative teams are Panama with its 74th place, Canada with its 78th place, Curacao with its 79th place and finally Haiti with its 83rd place.

According to CONCACAF, only 6 of the top nations out of all these teams will be able to compete in June of 2020 for the direct berth of the World Cup. As for the rest of the team, they will play in order for determining as to which nation will play against he no. 4 teams for a home-and-home playoff for getting the chance to play against the nation of another region in a second home-and-home playoff for a berth of World Cup.

Each team will be allowed to play 10 qualifier matches in the hex which is going to start in September of 2020 and will continue until November of 2020 and then in March and September of 2021. After that, the 32-nation tournament will start in November of 2022 in Qatar.
