Connor McGregor the famed UFC fighter has been arrested for the alleged charges of stealing and smashing a fan’s phone in South Florida on Sunday night. According to reports, the fan was trying to take the pictures of the UFC star.
Now the 30 years old McGregor is faced with charges like strong-arm robbery as well as the criminal mischief as per the report from Miami Beach Police.
According to the police report, a 22 years old man was trying to take pictures of the fighter who then slapped the phone out of the man’s hand and continued to stomp on it several times. McGregor did not stop there as he picked up the phone and left the scene.
McGregor was released on a bail of 12500 dollars on Monday night. Irish man’s lawyer said in a statement, “Last evening Conor McGregor was involved in a minor altercation involving a cellphone that resulted in a call to law enforcement. Mr. McGregor appreciates the response of law enforcement and pledges his full co-operation.”
According to reports, the mobile of the victim was worth almost 1000 dollars.
As for now, Miami Police has refused from giving out any more details.
McGregor on Tuesday posted on his social media page the following post,
