Corey Crawford; Blackhawks goalie suffers concussion after his slammed into the goal post

Corey Crawford; the Blackhawks goalie will be sidelined again after he suffered from a concussion.

Crawford suffered the concussion in his team’s defeat against the San Jose Sharks when his head struck to the right of the goal post during a goalmouth pile up.

33 years old Crawford was previously pulled from a concussion from the field, back on December 23rd, 2017 in the New Jersey game and missed the remainder of the season. He recently returned to the game back on October 18th in team’s match against Arizona. So far, he has played in 23 games for the team.

Coach Jeremy Colliton although has announced the injury of the goalie Crawford, he still refrained from giving any information about the severity of the injury.

Colliton said, “He has a concussion. So, he is under protocol and we will go from there.”

Crawford in this incident was making a pad save on Logan Couture who had broken in off the left wing.

While Couture was cut crossing the crease, Chicago’s Dylan Storme tried to cut him off and slashed him. At the same time, Evander Kane of the San Jose plowed into Storme from the back resulting Crawford to strike Crawford heavily. This forced goalie’s head to slam into the goal post.

Kan for his action was given a minor penalty for goaltender interference.
