Dave Allen hints his possible retirement following his defeat against David Price

Dave Allen has hinted to his fans that he might take the retirement from the sport following his Saturday night defeat against David Price.

The heavyweight fighter from Doncaster was donated by Price in the 10 rounds before his trainer Darren barker decided that it was time to pull him out of the fight.

He had to be taken to hospital following his career’s 5th defeat as his promoter Eddie Hearne confirmed that Allen suffered from a broken eye socket as well as damage to his tongue.

On Saturday night, Allen tweeted from his hospital bed, “Now probably done.”

He further added on twitter on Sunday, “After a few weeks I will sit down and decide, is it really worth it?”

The 27 years old boxer had hoped to fight against Alexander Povetkin if he had won this fight but he had to really struggle in his fight against Price and came on the losing end of it.

Allen came to this fighter with the best win so far in his career against Lucas Brown but during his career of 24 professional fights, he had taken a lot of damage.

Before in his career, he fought against Luis Ortiz and Dillian Whyte and was defeated on one-sided end.  As for his fight against Tony Yoka, it was stopped due to the suspension upon his missing drug tests.
