Davis hurt as Lakers get a clean sweep against Nets in China

Not only the Los Angeles Lakers but also their star new player Anthony Davis Jr. could get out of China without harm.

Davis has undergone tests to have the doctors determine the full extent of his thumb injury which has been diagnosed by Lakers’ medics as an ordinary sprain. Davis got hurt during eh 1st quarter of the Lakers VS Brooklyn Nets series finale in Chain which ended with Nets winning by 91-77 at Shenzhen on Saturday night.

Caris LeVert was the one to take the lead of Nets with his 22 points as he completed 8 of his 11 3-pointer shots. Nets had also won the earlier 3 games against Lakers in the series. The second top scorer from Nets was Taurean Prince with his 14 points while DeAndre Jordan had 11 rebounds during his 19 minutes gameplay.

As for Lakers topscorer of the night Avery Bradley, he scored 14 points while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added in his 11 points for the team.

The only comforting thing for the Lakers in this game was Davis, who kept on playing for a few minutes even after he got hurt as he tried to attempt a block. Both LeBron and Davis scored only 6 points each for the team in this game. James only played the entire 1st quarter and never returned for the 2nd one.

As for Brooklyn Nets, they were also missing their star Guard Kyrie Irving due to what Nets are calling a facial contusion. He had earlier played briefly for the team on Thursday while wearing a facial mask to prevent his fracture on the face. He had to leave the game after his face had a collision with the upper arm of Rajon Rondo.

This was 3rd preseason game for both Lakers and Nets and both teams used a different team lineup in this game. James and Davis are the only ones to have opened up the starting lineup for the team in the 1st quarter while form Nets’ side, it is LeVert. The brother of the Milwaukee Bucks’ MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo; Kostas Antetokounmpo was playing with Lakers in this game and scored 9 points.
