Davis scores 28 as LA Lakers beat Knicks by 100-92

LeBron James spent the 1st half of the LA Lakers VS New York Knicks game showing that why he will soon be taking the 3rd place from Kobe Bryant on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.

Then LeBron put his own defense aside to help his teammate Anthony Davis Jr to find his groove in the game.

James scored 19 of his total 21 points just before the halftime as he cuts in Kobe Bryant’s lead for the no. 3 rank on the scoring list of NA history; as the LA Lakers won over the New York Knicks by 100-92.

Davis led the LA Lakers with his 28 points in what was his 2nd game following his 5-game break, after a night where the Western Conference leaders were handed their worst defeat of the season.

In the 2nd half, James only scored 6 shot but Davis was able to score 17 points as he helped the LA Lakers to pull away and move towards a win.

James said, “In the 2nd half, I was more of a facilitator. I wanted to get AD going.  He looked a little bit out of his rhythm during the 1st half. So it was my duty to get him going in the 3rd and then the 4th quarter. And that was the difference.”

James has currently scored 33599 points and is only 44 points short from Kobe’s points’ record. This leaves him in a good shape where the Lakers will now play against the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night. He is going to play in Philly, his birth place.

As for the Knicks, they were led by Marcus Morris who had 20 points while Damyean Dotson scored 17 points. Up next, LA Lakers will have a game against the Brooklyn Nets whereas Knicks will host a game against the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.
