Jokic said, “It feels really good to grab a win in the LA even if James was not playing in this game.”

James had to miss out on his first game of the season following his strain of the thoracic muscle. This left the LA Lakers without their average point target of 25.8 and 10.6 assists.

Kyle Kuzma, the only player of LA Lakers to have scored in double digits said, “It is kind of hard to next-man up to LeBron. He does really so much for the team. When he is on the floor, the shots come easily for the team because everyone is looking at him.”
