Draymond Green and Golden State Warriors agree to a four-year, $99.7 million extension deal

Draymond Green, the forward of the NBA team Golden State Warriors has reached for a deal of 4 years extension for a sum of 99.7 million dollars, as per the information from a person who knows about the deal.

The person who disclosed this information requested for anonymity as he was not authorized for publically speaking about the deal until it was announced by the team itself.

Green is now entering the final season of his contract which is going to give him a pay of 18.5 million dollars for the 2019-2020 season and bringing him a total full value of his 5 years contract to 118.2 million dollars.

Green has been the vital part of the team’s success as he helped them win the NBA championship titles back in 2015, 2017 and 2018. The 3 ties All-Star player has been awarded the title of the Best Defensive player of the year for the 2016-17 season and has also been selected 5 times on the All-NBA defensive team as well as for the All-Defensive second team for the 2018-19seaosn. He is one of the players who hold the high defense of the Warriors.

In his last season, Green averaged in 7.4 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.1 blocks, 1.4 steals as well as 6.9 assists per game.

With now Kevin Durant going to Brooklyn Nets and Klay Thompson being sidelined indefinitely due to his torn ACL injury, Green will be crucial for the team’s performance in the 2019-20 season long side Stephen Curry and D’Angelo Russell.
