Durant and Curry led Warriors for a 132-105 win to have a 2-1 lead over Clippers

Durant Led the Golden State Warriors with his 38 points while Stephen Curry scored 21 points to let the Warriors win over the Los Angeles Clippers by 132-105 on Thursday night. With this win, Warriors have a lead of 2-1 in the first round of the playoff series.

Draymond Green said of his teammate Durant, “he came out playing in kill mode. He was aggressive tonight and that made a difference for us. We had the control of the game in the first quarter and never lost it.”

Durant had a perfect night as he made all of his 5 field goals as well as scoring 12 points on his free throws. Still, he and Curry had two fouls each on the night but Warriors maintained an overall 19 points lead over their opponents.

Curry said, “As much of the momentum we lost in our Game 2’s final minutes, we got it all back in this game. Every player of our team was aggressive and they made good shots on every possession. The way we were playing tonight showed as to how resilient of a team we really are.”

In the game 2 of the playoffs series, Clippers managed to make one of the biggest NBA comebacks in the history of playoffs after they were trailing by 31 points. However, they could not make the same miracle happen twice.

Doc Rivers, Clippers coach said, “They completely dissected us. You felt that they were going to come and punch us hard but we did not respond to them well.”

The top scorer from Clippers side was Lou Williams with his 16 points while Montrezl Harrell, as well as JaMychal Green, scored 15 points each for the team.

Game for the series will be played at the Staples Center on Sunday.
