European Championship; Schulz late winner goal led as Germany’s win over Netherlands by 3-2

While Joachim Loew might be building a new Germany’s football team, the team still has all the traits from the time of Mannschaft; who know nothing about when they are defeated.

Nico Schulz led Germany as he made a late goal in the 90th minute that proved to be a winner for the team to win over the Netherlands by 3-2 in the qualifying match of European Championship played on Sunday.

Loew said, “We never lost our belief in for a victory.”

The earlier 2 goals for Germany were scored by Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry during the first half of the game played in the Group C.

Matthijs de Ligt from Netherlands side scored his maiden International goal to break the lead in half. Later Memphis Depay helped the Netherlands to break even in the game with him scoring a goal in the 63rd minute.

As for Schulz’s last game-winner, he guided a cross from the substitute player Marco Reus into the goal.

Although Loew did say that he is pleased with his team’s effort to end the game but this one win of Germany is not going to satisfy him neither it is going to get him carried away.

He said, “There is still a need to do a lot more work and everybody in the team knows it.”

In Group C’s other match between Northern Ireland VS Belarus, Northern Ireland managed to establish themselves a win. Their substitute player Josh Magennis scored a late winning goal to let his team win over Belarus by 2-1.

Germany has previously only won 8 of the competitive matches back in 2018 as they had failed to advance in the World Cup group. The year 20-19 also was not a great start for them but with this thrilling win, Germany now has a strong start to be able to qualify for the Euro 2020 finals.
