The second-seeded player, Karolina Pliskova was defeated at the third round match of the French Open by her Croatian opponent Petr Martic by 6-3 and 6-3.
Pliskova entered the French Open after winning her career’ biggest clay court title back in Rome but this was still not her best surface and her defeat did not come as a shock to many.
