Giannis scores 39 as Bucks beat Celtics by 113-101 to have 3-1 series lead

Boston Celtics sensed a chance to pull away from the game after Giannis Antetokounmpo picked up his 4th foul in the 3rd quarter. Instead, they let the Milwaukee Bucks took control of the match or perhaps the whole series.

Antetokounmpo watched as his teammates opened a double-digit lead for him which he led with his 39 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Milwaukee Bucks won over the Boston Celtics by 113-101 on Sunday night. With this win, the Milwaukee Bucks now have a lead of 3-1 on the 2n round series of the Eastern Conference. Bucks have managed to gain his lead for the first time since 2001.

Mike Budenholzer, Bucks’ coach said, “To be honest with you when Giannis and Khris go to the bench, you get concerned. But still, you have the confidence that the group can play.”

The Milwaukee Bench had a great part in this win as George Hill came off the bench to score 15 points which included 9 points in the 3rd quarter while Pat Connaughton scored 9 points along with 10 rebounds.

Antetokounmpo sat out the 3rd quarter for 8 minutes and came back in the 4th to score 17 points as well as 7 rebounds to help the Bucks pull a fast one on the Celtics.

As for the Boston Celtics, they were led by Kyrie Irving who scored 23 points with 10 assists while Al Horford scored 20 points, Marcus Morris Sr. scored 18 points with his 14 rebounds and Jayson Tatum added in his 17 points with 10 boards.

As for Milwaukee Bucks, they have now won 4 straight playoff games at the road and for Antetokounmpo this was his 8th career playoff game where he scored more than 30 points to tie with the Bucks Marques Johnson or being the second in their franchise history.
