Indian Wells; Rafael Nadal seems in hurry while Kei Nishikori got shocking defeat

A Warning has been sent by Rafael Nadal to his opens at the Indian Wells after a burning display against Diego Schwartzman in their third round match on Tuesday.

Nadal, the second seed of the tournament is planning to win his fourth title at the desert and his first since 2013. In his match against Schwartzman, Nadal offered his best performance as he utterly crushed his opponent from Argentina by 6-3 and 6-1 to make it easily into the fourth round.

Up next, Nadal will be facing the world no. 113 Filip Krajinovic from Serbia who made it into the fourth round after defeating 14th seed Russian player Daniil Medvedev by 6-3 and 6-2.

As for world no. 7 Kei Nishikori, this has been a shocking week as he was defeated by Hubert Hurkacz of Poland on Tuesday’s third round match.

Hurkacz who fired 10 aces got a win over Kei Nishikori by 4-6, 6-4 and 6-3 in order to make it into the fourth round.

World rank no. 67 completed the match in 2 hours to make a comeback win over 2014’s US Open Finalist at Southern California.

Next, 22 years old Hurkacz will be facing the Canadian teenage player Denis Shapovalov who made a scary win over the hard-hitting Marin Cilic from Croatia. Denis won the match by 6-4 and 6-2.

On the other hand of the women’s event, the unseeded player Marketa Vondrousova shocked Simona Halep; the former world no. 1, after getting a win by 6-2, 3-6 and 6-2. With this win, Marketa Vondrousova ha now cemented her place in the quarterfinals.
