Josh Kelly beats Winston Campos while Liam Smith secures victory over Roberto Garcia in USA

Both Josh Kelly and Liam Smith got victories in their fights held on the Friday night in Arizona on the undercard of Daniel Jacobs vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

Josh Kelly, the naïve of Sunderland remained unbeaten on his career record as he defeated Winston Campos in a 10-round battle for a unanimous decision victory.

This was Kelly’s first fight following his draw in New York fight against Ray Robinson. In this fight, Josh Kelly dominated Campos easily as he now sets up the path for a fight of European title against David Avanesyan. David Avanesyan is an experienced boxing champion who hails from Russia and has his first recent win by first-round KO.

As for Josh Kelly, who was fighting his 2nd fight in the USA, he came to this fight in a stylish manner and had an impeccable routine that led to the stoppage victory in the final round. Campos went down in the final round but still managed to get back p on his feet.

The 2016 Rio Olympian, Josh Kelly was able to secure points of 99-90 from 2 ringside judges while the 3rd judge scored the fight 98-91 in his favor as well.  Josh Kelly is now undefeated for his 11 fights as he now aims for the 202’s major titles.

As for Lim Smith, he was able to secure his 2nd victory of British boxing as he defeated Roberto Garcia in 10 rounds to win by unanimous decision.

The fighter from Liverpool only had 2 defeats on his career record before coming to this fight against the Mexican. His previous two losses were against Mexican fighters like Jaime Munguia and Saul Canelo Alvarez.

Garcia was bullied by Smith in the early rounds but he still held his ground valiantly until the final bell was sounded.
