Judy Murray; Andy Murray’s mother says the two-time Wimbledon champion could play again

Judy Murray, the mother of two-time Wimbledon Champion says that her son; Andy Murray has a chance to play tennis once again following his hip resurfacing surgery.

Murray took the chance of undergoing the knife once more after his first-round loss at the Australian Open last month in Melbourne as he was trying to save his career.

Murray is currently recovering from an arduous surgery which included removal of a damaged bone and cartilage in his right hip socket. Doctors have replaced it with a metal sheet. He will not know if he will be able to reach the top-ranked players in the coming few months.

However, his mother, Judy Murray who was invited at the ATP Tournament at Jockey Club thinks that her son would struggle with the idea of never playing tennis again. She believes that the former world no. 1 has a chance to make it back.

She said, “I think he will but I think he knows that it might not be possible. He is a smart guy with interests in lots of other things. He has other options in life after tennis. The one thing that is important is that he is free from the pain he had been feeling for 20 months. He has a young family. You need to think about the quality of life. Actually, this is the most important thing in life.”
