Justin Thomas wins the BMW Championship and now stands at top of FedExCup rankings

Justin Thomas won the B<MW Championship on Sunday and after his win, he will now be going into the Toru Championship of the FedExCup as the top-ranking player.




Thomas was able to lead the final day of the championship in Medinah where he recovered from a very low start to score 4-under 68 and finished 3 strokes clear of his partner named Patrick Cantlay.

Thomas, the world rank no. 10 was able to finish the week under 25 with which he broke the record of the tournament by his lowest score of 72-hole.

With this Cantley and Thomas have now overcome the place of Brooke Koepka for the season standings as they now head for the final tournament of the season at East Lake.

As for the world rank no. 1 Koepka, he has slipped to the season standing of no. 3 after he finished at 24 and tied with Rory McIlroy who slipped from third to 5th place.

As for Tiger Woods, the defending winner of the Tour Championship, he joined his former FedExCup winners Jordan Spieth and Billy Horschel for a place in the top 30 and as also qualified for the final event of the season. As for Champion Golfers of the Year; Phil Mickelson and Shane Lowry, they were not able to extend their season run.
