Juventus in control of Serie A with 2-1 win against Roma

The Sunday game of Serie A held between Roma and Juventus ended with a 2-1 victory for Juventus. This win was of monumental importance as Juventus won their 9 straight games of Serie A and took a prime position in the standing.

2 goals of Juventus in this game were scored by Merih Demiral and Cristiano Ronaldo respectively in the opening 10 minutes of the first half which allowed for Juventus to move two points ahead of the previous Serie A leader Inter Milan. This happened after Inter Milan was held to a 1-1 draw against Atalanta one day before at the season’s halfway stage.

The reason for Juventus scoring 2 goals was the poor defense from Roma.

Deirl was left unmarked by Gianluca Mancini ear the far post who redirected the free-kick from teammate Paulo Dybala after only 3 minutes into the game held at Stadio Olimpico.

After this Jordan Veretout lost his control in the area and reacted with a foul for Dybala that allowed Ronaldo to score the goal on a penalty kick.

This was the 9th goal of Ronaldo in his 6 Serie A matches which makes him the most renowned goal scorer currently in the top 5 leagues of Europe since he started back in December for Juventus.

Both Nicolò Zaniolo; the midfielder for Roma and Demiral had to exit the game due to their injuries before the halftime

The only goal for Roma was scored by Diego Perotti during the 2nd half n a penalty shot that even went to a VAR decision to see if it was hand ball or not.

Edin Dzeko, the forward from Roma stuck the ball to post before the penalty of Perotti.

In other matches of Serie A, Sampdoria was able to win over Brescia by 5-1 to be 5 points ahead of the relegation zone.
