Kemba Walker, the start of Boston Celtics leaves game on a stretcher with symptoms of concussion

Kemba Walker, the star of the Boston Celtics had to be taken off of the court on the stretcher with the apparent head injury he sustained in a match against Denver Nuggets.

In the scary incident, Kemba Walker went down to the floor after he collided with Smei Ojeleye, his teammate and then stayed down on the floor for a few minutes as the trainer tended to him.

With only 2 minutes to the 2nd quarter of the game, Kemba Walker was trying to take the loose ball into the lane as his head was down; Kemba Walker ran straight into Semi with his head colliding into Smei’s chest. The play after this started to move into the other end but the coach for the Celtics Brad Stevens called for an immediate timeout.

Silence covered the entire arena as team staff and trainer surrounded Kemba Walker and then he was placed on the stretcher and wheeled off of the court.

After the exit of Kemba Walker, the team shortly announced that he was suffering from concussion symptoms and he is being taken to the hospital for further evaluation. So far all the tests on Kemba Walker have come out positive.

Stevens said, “I saw him in the ambulance after the halftime. E was feeling a little pain but was in decent spirits, which is really good.”

Before Walker left the game, he only had 3 rebounds and 2 assists and the game afterward ended with a 96-92 win for the Denver Nuggets.

Despite suffering this loss, Boston Celtics are currently one of the top teams of the East Conference in the season early on. They are third in the East with a record of 11-3 so far despite playing without their forward Gordon Hayward. Hayward is sidelined from the team due to his broken hand injury.
