Kendall Coyne Schofield lands NBC hockey gig after impressing performance at All-Star skills event

Kendall Coyne Schofield, whose impressive performance as the first woman to compete in the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, has received a major gig from NBC who plan to hire her as their analyst for the Wednesday Night’s Hockey game between Tampa Bay Lightning and Pittsburgh Penguins.

26 years old Coyne, who is a communication major, has worked as a sideline reporter at the Northeastern Is going to appear on the pregame show. She will then later move to the Inside THE Glass with Pierce McGuire. In addition to this, she will also be called for an appearance during the intermission by John Forslund.




Coyne told media, “I love to be able to talk about the game. It is particularly more special when the opportunity just presents itself. I am more than just ecstatic right now.”

Cone, who is the member of the 2018 U.S. Women’s Olympic gold medal-winning hockey team, finished seventh in the fastest-skater competition at the All-Star Skills Competition.

Edmonton Oilers star Connor McDavid who has won the event for the third straight time said Coyne made a strong start and he was thinking that she would win.

Coyne said that when she received the call about her being the replacement for the injured Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon to compete in the NHL All-Star Skills Competition, “it pulls chills down my back.”
