Lakers past Heat with LeBron James season high 51 points performance

On the Saturday night basketball game of LA Lakers vs. Miami Heat, James was welcomed with a warm ovation from the Florida crowd.

This was James’ first time in South Florida after joining the Lakers and he made it memorable with his impressive season high performance of 51 points. Under his lead, Lakers won the game by 113-97.

James was able to throw 19 of 31 from the field which also includes 6 of 8 from 3-pointer range. This was the same arena where James led his first two NBA Championships.

James set the tone of the game from the early first quarter with a 19 points lead. By halftime, James had scored 28 points and added in 14 more points in the third quarter. He closed the fourth quarter by adding in another 9 points. James was able to end the night with a 32 footer shot in the closing seconds of the game which helped him move past the 50 points marker.

LeBron told media about his special on-court bet, “Lance Stephenson told me to finish the game and said, ‘I bet you won’t be able to shot a 3 pointer’. He said, ‘Go for the three, I bet you won’t go for the 3’; so I went for the 3”.

Lakers have now won seven of its last nine games after having a bumpy start by 2-5. On Saturday night, Lakers four-game winning streak was broken by Orlando Magic but they made a comeback big with the win over Miami Heat on Sunday night.
