Leonard scores 27 points as Raptors beat Magic by 115-96 to clinch the series

Toronto Raptors bouncing back from their Game 1 loss managed to extend their game winning streak by 4 games to launching themselves a second round playoff series berth.

Kawhi Leonard led the Raptors with his 27 points while Pascal Siakam added in his 24 points as the Toronto Raptors defeated Orlando magic by 115-96 on Tuesday night as they won their first round playoff series in just 5 games.

Kyle Lowry added in his 14 points as the Raptors ousted the Magic. Toronto managed to clinch the win with as many as 37 points which is their biggest margin for the playoff game.

Lowry said, “We kind of figure them out and made ourselves a good adjustment after Game 1. We were a little soft on the coverage and then we figured it out rather quickly as to what we need to do.”.

Up next, Toronto Raptors will be facing the Philadelphia 76ers for the second round of the playoff series after they defeated Brooklyn Nets in their first round series. For raptors, this is the 4th year in a row that they have managed to reach the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Nick Nurse, the Raptors coach said, “Man, this is going to be a great series. Obviously 76ers are a great team with tremendous size with right off the bat Joel Embiid. They are still big overall.”

Orlando Magic’s were led by AJ Augustin who scored 15 points while Terrence Ross added in his 12 points and Aaron Gordon scored 11 points for the team.

Steve Clifford, the Magic’s coach said, “we were never able to handle the ball against their defense after game 1. To us, this was the biggest factor in our defeat.”

Lowry, with 3 minutes to the 2nd quarter, left for the locker room after he got his ring jammed in the finger as he deflected the ball. He came back in the 2nd half and after game as wearing a splint.”
