Liverpool held to 2-2 draw by the 3rd-tier team Shrewsbury in FA Cup game

With the sight of Roberto Firmino and Mohammed Slash entering as the substitute players for the lineup of the Liverpool summed up their desperation in the FA Cup game held against the Shrewsbury; a 3rd tier club of the FA Cup.

Even these two forwards of Liverpool could not do anything from preventing the draw which was the perhaps most humiliating draw for the European, world, and English Champions in the match that was held at the border of Welsh.

Liverpool squandered their 2-goal lead as they were held to 2-2 draw against the Shrewsbury in the 4th round match of the FA Cup. This was an embarrassing draw for Liverpool as they were held to this draw by a team that was almost 59 places below them in the soccer rankings.

By the end of this match, it was clear as to which team was the leader of the Premier League by its 16 points.

Juergen Klopp, the coach for Shrewsbury said, “The 2-2 draw is the least that Shrewsbury deserved.”

Liverpool had to concede for the draw after they fielded their initial lineup with youngsters and fringe players.

Klopp also said that the next lineup for the game that will be held next month at Anfield will be even weaker than this in the history of English Soccer. The first-team squad will have the winter break, so he will be playing the kids.

Klopp also said that the team will also be managed by the under-23 coach named Neil Critchley.

The first goal that allowed for the deficit for Shrewsbury to be cut down was made by Jason Cummings during the 65th minute while the game equalizing goal came in the 75t minute.

In other games of the FA Cup, Manchester United defeated their 3rd tier opponent team Tranmere by 6-0 while Manchester City defeated Fulham by 4-0.
