Massimiliano Allegri is going to leave coaching of Juventus after the season ends

The news is out that Massimiliano Allegri will not be coaching the Italian football club named Juventus after the end of the season. This leads to the speculation that Juventus is most likely to hire the former manager Antonio Conte.

The club released a brief statement on Friday, in which they said, “Massimiliano Allegri will not be on the Juventus bench for 2019-20. The brief conference ended with the club stating that a news conference will be held on Saturday by Massimiliano Allegri and the president of Juventus Andrea Agnelli.

The expiry date of Allegri’s contract was due for the next season but he still indicated that he would remain with the team after they claimed their record 8th straight Serie A title last month.

Allegri has been the coach for Juventus for the last 5 seasons and has led the team to win 2 Champions League trophies. However, as it happens to be, the team is not happy after losing the European League title especially since they had signed Cristiano Ronaldo before the season from Real Madrid.

Juventus suffered elimination for the tournament one month ago at the hands of Ajax.

As for Antonio Conte, he has led Juventus for their first of 3 titles. He left the team to coach Italy to help them win the 2016’s European Championship. He also coached Chelsea on their way to win the 2017 English Premier League title but got fired by the club back in 2018 and has been out of work ever since.

Conte recently expressed his desire to start coaching again but did not specify as to where he would be doing it for the next season.

As for Juventus’s last two matches with Allegri as their coach, they will be played against Atalanta at Turin and Sampdoria respectively.
