Meghan Markle and Prince Harry visit and meet Yankees and Red Sox before the first London game

Before the first game of the weekend series held on Saturday between New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox in London, both these teams spent a few moments prior to these games chatting with the local celebrity power couple; Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex went to visit both of these teams at their respective clubhouses and also got gifts for their newborn son named Archie from the teams.

 




Red Sox gifted them with onesie of the team along with a red bat while Yankees gifted them with a team’s baby size jersey with word Archie embodied over the back.

Prince Harry said to Yankees, “You guys have managed to beat the present of the next door by a long way.

Both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle posed with teams for pictures. Markle also hugged Mookie Betts of the Red Sox who happened to be the distant relative of Markle. According to the newspaper named the Boston Globe, the lineage of Markle and Mookie can be traced back to a small town located in Alabama.

Alex Cora, the manager of Red Sox, told media about the visit of Harry and Markle with the team as a great moment for the team and for the entire Red Sox organization.

The first pitch of the game was thrown by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. This was the first Major League baseball series to be played outside of USA and in Europe.
