Miami Open; Roger Federer beats Filip Krajinovic and reach the last 16

The former world no. 1 Roger Federer managed to defeat Serbian player Filip Krajinovic in their third round clash at Miami Opole in straight sets. With this win, Federer has cruised into the 4th round of the tournament.

Federer, who was last week beaten by Dominic Thiem at the Paribas Open in Indian Wells, has reached the last 16 of the Miami Open for the 16th time. He won over the Serbian player by 7-5 and 6-3.

The Swiss legendary player is setting his goal to win the Florida title for the 4th time. He finished the match with his 35 winner shots as well as 14 aces in 90 minutes.

The 37 years old Federer will now be playing against the Russian player Daniil Medvedev or the American player Riley Opelka.

In other matches of men’s draw, Kevin Anderson managed to defeat the Portuguese player Joao Sousa by 6-4 and 7-6.

The sixth seed Anderson will now be playing against the unseeded Australian player Jordan Thompson who defeated Grigor Dimitrov by 7-5 and 7-5.

As for the women’s draw, the dominant run of the Canadian teenager Bianca Andreescu was cut short due to a shoulder injury during the match when she was trailing by 6-1 and 2-0 against Anett Kontaviet.
