Michael Conlan maintain his unbeaten record by beating Diego Alberto Ruiz in Belfast

The Saturday night fighter held in Belfast between the Irish featherweight champ Michael Conlan VS Diego Alberto Ruiz ended with a great victory for Conlan in front of his home crowd.

The arena that was packed with 10000 roaring Belfast fans were cheering for Conlan who took control of the fight from the opening bell and then moved the fight for a  stoppage victory in the 9th round with his flurry of punches against eh Argentinean fighter.

With this win, the 27 years old former Olympian has now extended his unbeaten record to 12 wins from his 12 fights.

After the fight held in Feile an Phobail, he said, “I am now ready for a world title very soon.  This time the next year, I want to have a shot at a world title and win it. I will fight anyone and this is only the start for me. I believe this is the first performance that I have done at a certain level.  I still have many more levels to go.”

On the same fighting bill, Paddy Gallagher of Belfast lost against Chris Jenkins after the suffered a cut on his left eye and Jenkins getting scores of 86-85 from all 3 judges.
