Navas saves the penalty as Paris Saint-Germain wins over Club Brugge by 1-0 for a home win

On the night when the Kylian Mbappé of the Paris Saint-Germain failed to click an attack to a goal against Brugge, Galoie of the Paris Saint-Germain Keylor Navas held on to defend a late penalty to let the team have a 1-0 win at home in the Champions League game.

This victory has allowed the Paris Saint-Germain to go into the round of 16 with their 4 wins in a row without conceding any goal. As for Navas of Paris Saint-Germain, this was his first goal of the career in champions League with the Paris Saint-Germain and it was definitely a stunning one too.

The goalie formerly for Real Madrid guessed the move of Brugge’s Mbaye Diagne to stop it in the second half of the game.

As for striker of Paris Saint-Germain, Mauro Icardi, he continued with his striking performances with the game-winning goal for the team during the middle of the first half. Still, he and Mbappé also had many other chances to score goals.

As for Brugge, they missed their chance to equalize the game during the 76th minute after Diagne won the penalty following him getting fouled by the captain of PSG, Thiago Silva. However, the strike of Diagne got a little bit too close to Navas.

After Diagne failed to make a goal on his penalty, it left Philippe Clement utterly furious and prompted the Brugge’s coach to give a signal to the team’s captain and midfielder who should have taken this spotting kick.

Paris Saint-Germain is now ahead of Real Madrid with their 5 points lead in the Group A. PSG never conceded a goal in their last few matches while scoring 10 of them.

Thomas Tuchel, the coach of Paris Saint-Germain said, “We were aware that this would be a really tough game for us as Brugge is a courageous side who loves to take possession of the ball. So far on the season, they have only lost 2 times and both times it was against us.”
