Novak Djokovic, the defending champion is one step near to the title of Cincinnati Masters

The world rank no. 1 Novak Djokovic has not been bested by any player so far in the Cincinnati Masters’ tournament which he also won last year.

32 years old Djokovic who is yet to drop a set in the tournament won again by straight sets on his third-round match played on Center Court of the Linder Family Tennis Center.

The Serb was able to best his opponent Pablo Carreno Busta by 6-3 and 6-4 to book another quarterfinal of the tournament where is now going to play against Lucas Pouille.

Djokovic said, “I do not think that scores really do clear the situation as to how tough it was on the court. I think I was serving really great. That was probably the best game for me this week where I have over 70 percent of the serves that went right in. it also got me out of trouble in the tiebreak of the second set.”

Performance of Djokovic had been a remarkable one this week especially considering the performance of other seeded players of the men’s singles.

Few hours before Djokovic advanced to the quarterfinals, Roger Federer lost his match against his 21 years old opponent named Andrey Rublev.

Djokovic is the only 1 out of the 4 seeded players to have made it to the quarterfinals.
