Paralympian climbs up on an aircraft for the protests of Extinction Rebellion

James Brown, the bronze medalist Paralympian was arrested after he was found climbing on top of an aircraft on London for the protests for the Extinction Rebellion.

Brown was helped climbed on the aircraft of the British Airways by firefighters on Thursday afternoon.

This is not the first protest involvement from Brown as he was also involved in a protest like this last month at Heathrow Airport. He was removed from the aircraft at that t time and also arrested by the authorities.

Brown said, “I am doing all of this for the crisis that is climate change ecological destruction.  We are doing these protests against the inaction of government on the breakdown of ecology and climate. They have declared a climate emergency but are not doing anything about it. In fact, they are acting in the total opposite direction.”

Brown suffers from partial sight and was able to win the bronze medal at the London 20-12 Paralympics games in the Tandem Road event alongside his partner Damien Shaw.

The 55 years old Paralympian has previously represented Ireland at the World and the European level events for quite a few of the sports which include swimming, skiing, and athletics.
