Philadelphia Eagles 23-17 New York Giants: Zach Ertz leads Eagles’ win in overtime

The game of NFL between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles ended with a 23-17 win for the Eagles in overtime.  Zach Ertz made a 2-yard TD pass in the overtime at the mark of 5:10 to allow for the Eagles to make a late rally to win the game by beating the 14 points deficit under the rainy weather of Monday night.

Ertz was clear in the end zone’s center as he looked to make the 2nd TD pass of the game to allow for Philadelphia Eagles to make the late rally and snap their 2-game losing skid.




Caron Wentz, the QB for the Philadelphia Eagles threw 50 passes and completed 33 of them for a total of 235 yards along with making 2 scores. This win allows for the Philadelphia Eagles to now be 6-7 on the season and they are now tying for the first place spot in the NFC East against the Dallas Cowboys.

Ertz, in total, made 9 receptions for his 91 yards along with catching a game-tying TD pass with only 1:53 time left to the regulation period.

On the other hand, the QB for the New York Giants, Eli Manning threw 30 passes and completed 15 of them for a total of 203 throwing yards along with 2 TDs. These 2 TDs were his first ones since the Week 2 of the New York Giants. Manning started for the Giants in place of their rookie QB Daniel Jones who had to be sidelined following an ankle sprain.

As for New York Giants, who are now 2-11 on the season, they were never even able to touch the ball during the OT as they now have tied with the franchise high of 9 consecutive defeats. The first time, the Giants had that bad of a losing spree was back in 1976 which also happened back in 2003-2004 season.
