Robert Kraft; The New England Patriots owner has been offered plea deal over solicitation charges

Robert Kraft, the owner of the NFL team New England Patriots was charged with 24 other men for paying money for illicit sex at a massage parlor were offered a plea deal by the Florida prosecutors.

The Attorney’s Office of Palm Beach State confirmed the news on Tuesday that they have offered Kraft and 24 other men the plea deal that have been charged with soliciting prostitution. This deal has been offered under the standard diversion program which is normally offered to the first time offenders.

The men under this deal must concede and they will most likely serve only 100 hours of community service as well as take a class on dangers of prostitution as to how it leads to human trafficking.  The news was confirmed by the spokesman for the state named Mike Edmondson.

In addition to this, these offenders must also pay a fine of 5000 dollars each. The 77 years old Kraft was charged with 2 counts last month.

In return of accepting this plea deal and the punishment with it, the misdemeanor charges for soliciting prostitution would then be dropped. According to Edmondson, none of the 25 offenders have accepted the plea deal.  If they accept the deal, they would avoid their chances of going to court.

If Kraft does not accept the deal, he would be placed on a trial and if he loses it, he will face 1-year imprisonment in jail. He has also not pled guilty.

There has been no comment from the representatives of Kraft or the New England Patriots officials.

NFL has not taken any disciplinary action against Kraft but they have stated that their policy for personal conduct applies equally to everyone connected with the NFL. They also said that they are going to handle this case in the same manner as they would handle any other issue under this policy.
