Robin Tiger Williams gets an 8-shot win at the MENA Tour in Jordan

The amateur golfer by the name of Robin Tiger Williams also produced a finish just like the name of the famous golfer to get his first professional victory at the MENA Tour held in Jordan.

Robin Tiger Williams of England was able to follow for 4-under 68 with his back to back 66s for getting an 8-shot win at the Journey to Jordan 2 event, which is the sixth event of the MENA Tour.

Williams has previously represented the team England in the Junior Ryder Cup of 2018. In this event, he was able to take advantage of 5 shots on the final day of the Ayla Golf Resort to close for a victory by having 5 birdies in a row.




With this fast finish, the 18 years old Williams was able to close the week with 16 under on his first MENA Tour which saw 2nd place going to Jack Floydd after he hit a bogey on the 67.

Williams started the week as the world rank no. 100 in the amateur Golf rankings and has now become the 3rd amateur player to have won the MENA Tour following the last one being Rayhan Thomas of India who won the Dubai Creek Open in 2016 and the Pierre Junior Verlaar of the Netherlands who won the Royal Golf Mohammedia Open back in 2017.

As for the 2 leading players on the MENA Tour Daniel Gaunt and MG Keyser, they both ended the Tour week by sharing the 3rd place whereas the son of the great Spanish player Miguel Angel Jimenez; Miguel Jimenez Jr. claimed the 37th place.
