Roger Federer enters the US Open tournament’s fourth round after defeating Nick Kyrgios

Roger Federer maintains a strong pace as he moves towards the first US Open title in nearly a decade. He made a tremendous victory at the third round after he defeated Nick Kyrgios in a straight set took place at Flushing Meadows.

Roger Federer who s world’s number two and the winner of New York five times was able to maintain his progress and eventually won the match after one hour and 44 minutes by 6-4 6-17-5 points.




After his match is finalized with Kyrgios, Federer is set to face Australian John Millman in the fourth round.

After his win Federer told reporters that, “I am always happy to have a win even if it was five sets. But I am glad it was actually three sets. I myself thought that I played very well. However in the beginning it was difficult to maintain a momentum. Although he created many chances but first round is key to a match. I really enjoyed this match with Nick. He comes up with different shot types during the match which keeps you on edge and makes the match interesting.”

After Federer’s win Kyrgios only stated that “I need to hire a Coach”.

On the other hand, Millman managed to get in the fourth round of tournament after gaining his first ever career’s 6-4, 4-6, 6-1 and 6-3 point victory against a player named Mikhail Kukushkin.

Commenting on his next match, Federer told reporters that, “I am personally a big fan of Millman. Many people don’t known about him but he is actually a hard working player and we at the top all have respect for him. He and I were together for training in Switzerland so we got to known each other pretty well. I am clearly happy that he made it this far but now I will try my best to stop him”.
