Ronaldo became the first player ever to win Europe’s top 3 leagues

He first showed his performance at Madrid under Alex Ferguson and then got the crown with Real Madrid and now another title win with Juventus.

Cristiano Ronaldo, the5-time winner of the Ballon d’Or, did not need any more emphasis of himself to be an impacting footballer, but he still did it again. He helped the Juventus this weekend to win the Serie A title for his first season in Italy.

With this title win, the 34 years old Cristiano Ronaldo has become the first footballer in the history to have won Europe’s three league titles; the first one being English Premier League title with Manchester United, second being the Spanish League title with Real Madrid and now Series A title with Juventus.

Ronaldo said, “I am very happy to have won in England, Spain and now this league title in Italy. It means a lot to me and a lot to us as a team.”

While many other players have won the three league titles of Europe’s 5 league titles of England, Spain, Italy, Germany, and France; no one has ever won the combination of the England, Spain, and Italy titles.

David Beckham who played in the 4 top leagues won 6 titles at United, 1 title at Madrid and 1 at Paris Saint-Germain. However, during his two seasons with AC Milan, he failed to lift Serie A trophy.

For Ronaldo, this is his 6th career league title win.

Ronaldo said, “Next year is a new page. As the fans all want it, so do we. It is an important trophy but it is very difficult to win.”

If Ronaldo wins the Champions League trophy with Juventus, he would be the only other player than Clarence Seedorf to have won the trophy playing for 3 different clubs.
