For many years now, Matt Kuchar has been regarded as one of the most likable players on the PGA Tour.
Back in February, he was rooted firmly by his fans when his reputation was smudged by the news that after winning the Mayakoba Classic and the prize of 1.2 million dollars, the Florida native golfer only gave his caddie 5 thousand dollars back in November of last year which was the first PGA Tour tournament in Mexico.
Kuchar was pressured with questions about his cheapness and also to make amends with his caddie named David Giral Ortiz. S it happens to be, someone again brought up that embarrassing moment from his life.
During the Wyndham Rewards Ceremony held on Tuesday, Rory McIlroy took a shot at him for being stingy when it comes to money. Kuchar was earlier complaining about the fact as to how a 2-point difference in the standings has cost 300000 dollars and McIlroy just could not resist commenting on this.
McIlroy said, “And we all know what money means to him.”
Rory, that was pretty cold.
Kuchar tried to laugh off this jab at him as he had no appropriate response for it.
It seems Kuchar is never going to hear the end of it.
