San Antonio Spurs beat Warriors in their first game without Curry

Draymond Green and is team Golden State Warriors are finally learning it hard way that what it is really to be a team riddled with injuries.

Patty Mills of the San Antonio Spurs came off the bench to add 31 points as the Spurs defeated the Warriors by 127-110 on Friday night. This defeat came only hours after the devastating news that they will now be playing at least for 3 months without heir star player Stephen Curry. Stephen Curry earlier in the team’s Wednesday night game suffered from a broken left-hand injury.

The Chase Center had an audience of nearly 18064 but it was visible that most of the Golden State Warriors corner was nothing but empty seats.

The injury of Curry now marks a tough time ahead for the franchise like Golden State Warriors which has been making appearances in the NBA Championship finals for the 5 years in a row and won 2 of them.

Green said, “We went on to be the healthy bunch for 5 years straight. We also went on to beat pretty much everyone for 5 years in a row. Right now, it is our turn to get beat up. It is kind of what’s going on now.”

LaMarcus Aldridge scored 22 points for the San Antonio Spurs who are now 4-1 on the season following their Thursday night defeat.

From Golden State Warriors’ side, D’Angelo Russell was the top scorer with his 30 points. This loss now makes the Golden State Warriors stand at 1-4 on the season.

The game had been an uphill battle for the Golden State Warriors who had to face without Steph Curry who underwent his hand surgery after breaking it during the game against Phoenix Suns.


The Golden State Warriors are also playing without their key gaud player Klay Thompsons who is also out due to injuries. As for Greene, he is also unsure because he was seen wearing a wrap on his index finger after the game.

Up next for the Golden State Warriors is the game which they will host against the Charlotte Hornets this Sunday. As for San Antonio Spurs , they will be hosting the Los Angeles Lakers for a game on Sunday.
