Spectator to sue the Ryder Cup organizers after being struck by Brooks Koepka’s golf ball

A spectator has decided to sue the organizers of last week’s Ryder Cup after being struck by Brooks Koepka’s golf ball in the right eye. She says that as a result of this injury she is beginning to lose sight in her right eye.

49 years old Corine Remande traveled along with her husband Raphael all the way from Egypt to France to watch the showdown of golf between team USA and Europe that was being held at Le Golf National club located in Saint Quentin en Yvelines; a place just outside of Paris.

However, unfortunately for this avid golf fan, her vacation suddenly turned into a disaster when the tee shot by Brooks Koepka suddenly went into the crowd on the sixth hole as it struck the right eye of Corine.

Remande has made it clear that she is going to seek legal action against this incident because the organizers never warned the spectators beforehand that the ball was going to be hurtled into the spectator gallery.

Remande told the media on Monday that, “it is quite clearly the mistake of the organizers. Officials did not shout to warn the crowd as it went into the crowd.”

Remande has just been released from Croix Hospital in Lyon and is set for a legal counsel with an attorney on Tuesday with the aim to seek damages.

She further said to media that, “more than anything I at least want them to pay for the entire medical bills to be sure that there is no risk of infection for my eye”.

Scans of her eye reveal a fracture of right eye socket along with eyeball explosion. Surgeon managed to sew it back together but it has been confirmed to Remande on Monday that she would lose sight in her right eye.
