St. Louis Blues beat Anaheim Ducks by 4-1for heir 9th straight home win

As the goalie for St. Louis Blues Jake Allen replaced Jordan Binnington, he knew that he now needs to make the start count.

Allen was able to make 20 saves for St. Louis Blues while Brayden Schenn had 2 assists for letting St. Louis Blues win against Anaheim Ducks by 4-1.

Allen, who as making his first start for St. Lois Blues in 9 days, improved his season record to 8-3-3. Allen had lost his job as the St. Louis Blue’s starter the last January to Binnington who had been called up by the team from American Hockey League and was the one who led the St. Louis Blues to win their first NHL Stanley Cup. He has played as the St. Louis Blues starter ever since that title win.

Allen said, “I only try to remain fresh ad stay as sharp as I can in the practice. It was not that much of a busy game for me but I did handle the puck as much as I was able to and get it out of the net and talk and also keep myself standing in the game. It felt really good tonight.”

With this win, St. Louis Blues have now won their 9th game in a row at home which ties them with their previous record set back in 1991. This winning streak marks their longest winning streak in this NHL season. During this streak, St. Louis Blues have outscored their opponents by 36-15.

Players from St. Louis Blues side Alexander Steen, Tyler Bozak, Jaden Schwartz, and Ivan Barbashev scored goals for the team respectively. Blues have now won 4 games total in a row after ending their previous 3-game losing streak. They are now 12-2-1 on their last 15 games.
