UFC President Dana White says Brock Lesnar might make a UFC return in summer this year

According to the UFC president Dana White, Brock Lesnar wants to fight Daniel Cormier and the fight could possibly go down in the summer this year.

Lesnar currently is the WWE Universal champion and as for Cormier, he is the heavyweight champion of the UFC. A match between the two fighters has been under discussion involving the rules of mixed martial arts.

At the UFC 226, a potential match was teased to the fans in July. The teaser happened when Lesnar pushed Cormier after his victory over the fighter Stipe Miocic as he became the new UFC Heavyweight Champion.

During an interview for the UFC’s Youtube channel with Megan Olivi, Dana White was very frank in his belief about a possible Lesnar VS Cormier match to take place soon.

He said, “I think that both thee fighters really want this match. I myself know that both Cormier and Lesnar want this bad. So when any two fighters who want it this bad as these two do, I think it’s really going to happen.”

Lesnar in the past had held the UFC Heavyweight title from 2008 to 2010. Since 2017 he has also been the WWE Universal champion.

His next defense title fight for WWE is happening on WrestleMania on April 7th. According to White, Lesnar could be facing Cormier very soon following this fight.
