Unsteady Antetokounmpo still leads Bucks win over the Cavs by 127-105

Giannis Antetokounmpo has recovered rather quickly from his recent ankle injury.

Although Antetokounmpo still showed some signs that he was bothered by the right ankle problem, he still managed to score 26 points with 10 rebounds to help the Milwaukee Bucks win over the Cleveland Cavaliers by 127-105 on Sunday night.

After Antetokounmpo did not felt any discomfort during the pre-game workout routine, he played in 2 games for the team after missing out on earlier two due to his ankle sprain. In his 32 minutes play, he scored 7 assists along with making 11 of his 16 shots. In addition to this, he also had 4 blocks as well.

Antetokounmpo said, “I am going to keep my mindset that I need to play through the pain. I need to push through the pain and do whatever it takes from me to let my team win the game. If things get really bad, I know that the team will take care of me by pulling me out and letting me rest.”

From Bucks’ side, George Hill and Khris Middleton both scored 17 points each. Hill had been acquired from Cavs earlier in December in a 3-player trade.

With Bucks missing out on Malcolm Brogan, Hill hopes to contribute in his place defensively.

As for Cleveland Cavilers, they were led by Kevin Love who scored 20 points while other players of Cavs like Jordan Clarkson scored 19 points while Collin Sexton added in his 18 points.

Love talking to media post game said, “I think that all the trouble starts with Giannis. He makes it so tough on the defense. You try to collapse but Bucks have the right person to light you up. Bucks have great shooters all around the team. It is tough to guard against them.”

Up next, Cavs will host a game against the Boston Celtics on Tuesday while Bucks will host a game against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday night.
