USA retain the Presidents Cup trophy following dominating singles

Team USA was able to retain its Presidents Cup trophy after they dominated the singles matches held at Royal Melbourne.

The winning putt was rolled in by Matt Kuchar on the 17th hole during his match against Louis Oosthuizen while Tiger Woods claimed the 11th win for the Team USA in Presidents Cup against International Team.

The USA was trailing by 10-8 overnight against the Internationals but then Woods and his side made triumph by 8-4 in the singles to make the overall winning score 16-14.

Woods decided to be the first one and then played against Abraham Ancer as he secured the victory for his 7th singles which is most by any golfer in the history of Presidents Cup.

43 years old Woods took command of the game with consecutive birdies on 9th and 10th hole and then held firm for having 3 wins from his 3 matches of the week.

With this win of the Presidents Cup, team USA extended their winning reign of the tournament with a 2-point margin and has become the first team to have won the event after trailing while going into the final day.
