Warriors taunt the officials but lose later on a controversial call

On Friday night game of basketball between Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves was played for an overtime thriller. The defending champions were possibly on their way to a win but their efforts were kept dangling after controversial calls were made in the final seconds.

With 5.8 seconds to go and Warriors at 130-127, Durant made a 3-pointer shot as he tied the game with whistle being blown. Officials ruled that Keita Bates-Diop fouled Durant before he made the shot.

This call came at the same time when Josh Okogie on the other end of the court did not go to the line and was fouled for a shot.

Warriors were furious at these calls but they still made it to tie the game for overtime. Stephen Curry made a ridiculously amazing shot from the corner with the defender being in his face. He tied the game and celebrated by pointing at one of the officials by running past them. Durant also celebrated right in front of the officials

A few moments later, Durant was whistled by referees for holding on to Karl Anthony Towns on the lob play. This allowed Towns to make one of his 2 shots to give Timberwolves the win.

After the game ended, Steve Kerr, the Warriors coach said that situation tonight was really mind-boggling. As for Stephen Curry, he said that Mart Kogut, the referee, was the MVP of Tonight while Kevin Durant said that Kogut is ‘One of the greatest refs of all time.’
