Andy Murray announces to play in 2019 Open Sud de France

Andy Murray has announced his comeback plans as he confirmed that he is going to play in the 2019’s Open Sud de France which will take place in February.

Murray announced his plans on his Facebook page with words like, “I have a lot of good memories playing indoors in France. I am looking forward to playing in the Open Sud de France that will take place next year in Montpellier.”

The news has been also confirmed by the tournament director of the Open 13 in Marseille last week who is hosting this event too, that Murray will play in the Open Sud de France next year. The tournament will take place between February 3rd to February 10th.

Andy Murray, the three times Grand Slam Champion only played six tournaments this year. He was forced to retire early in 2018 following his long recovery from hip surgery and now he is solely focusing for the 2019 season.

31 years old Murray is currently working with a specialist in Philadelphia to try to regain his best form which allowed him to reach World no. 1 rank back in 2016.

He has plans to play in the Brisbane International in January as a warm-up tournament before he bids for the Australian Open which also starts on January 14th, 2019.
