Buffalo Bills sign Matt Barkley to cover for their injured quarterback plague

Matt Barkley has been signed for a one year deal by Buffalo Bills as they are still dealing with the problem of their injured quarterback.

Barkley has only made 11 NFL appearances since his draft back in 20-13 by Philadelphia Eagles. He was drafted in the fourth round.

His last seven appearances in the NFL were with Chicago Bears back in 2016 and he started in six of them.

Barkley was part of Cincinnati Bengals in the pre-season but he got injured in their final game. Bengals released him in September after an injury settlement.

Buffalo Bills have been plagued by injured quarterbacks this season. They already lost one ahead of their week 9game against the Chicago Bears and now the other one is doubtful as well.

Josh Allen of the Bills missed three consecutive games after suffering from a  sprained elbow and as for their veteran backup Derek Anderson, his condition is doubtful as he suffered a concussion during the Monday night football game against New England Patriots.

One other option for Buffalo Bills is currently Nathan Peterman who has been error-prone in his NLF career.

He has only made nine appearances in NFL since his 2017 draft. In these 9 games, he only made 9 interception passes for his 81 attempts along with only 3 touchdowns.
