Durant leads the Warriors again for a 2-0 lead over Houston Rockets

Kevin Durant and his team brought it hard on both ends on Tuesday night. They kept their mouth shuts as they brought business to James Harden and Rockets at home.

Their efforts paid off and the 2-time defending NBA champions are now leading the semi-finals of the Western Conference with a 2-0 lead over the Houston Rockets.

Durant led the Golden State Warriors with his 29 points as the Warriors set an early defensive stance against Harden to win the Rockets by 115-109 on Tuesday night.

Draymond Green of the Warriors said, “I think, tonight was the great officiated game. They allowed us to be physical, both teams. They made the calls they needed to make.”

Harden was hit in both eyes early in the first half but was able to come back in the game soon. He finished for the Rockets with 29 points and 7 rebounds.

Harden said, “I could only see barely out of my eyes.”

Harden and Chris Paul were both met with boos at the Oracle Arena after the Rockets complained to officials about the missed call by the NBA officials in the team’s Game 1 loss.

Paul cheered and celebrated after Harden was able to draw a foul over Durant during the closing round of the 3rd quarter on a close play. Harden was able to convert three of his free throws to pull the Rockets within 82-75 with 12 minutes into the final.

Harden played despite having red eyes that were still bothering him.

Harden said, “it is still very blurry right now. Hopefully, it is going to get better day by day.”

Klay Thompsons finished for the night with his 21 points as he made 2 3-pointers in a row during the 3rd quarter.  As for Green, he scored 15 points with 12 rebounds and 7 assists.

Game 3 will be played in Houston on Saturday night.
